How to Add a SendGrid Connection?
SendGrid is an email-sending service that provides reliable email delivery for your WordPress site. To establish a connection go to the Connections tab, and follow the steps below:
- Click the Add Connection button.
- A sidebar menu will slide in from the right.
- Select SendGrid to open another sliding sidebar with the SendGrid connection fields.
Configure the SendGrid Connection Fields
1. Connection Title
- Enter a unique title for this connection.
2. API Key
To connect your SendGrid account, you need to enter an API Key. This key allows SureMail to authenticate and send emails through SendGrid securely.
- Where to find the API Key?
- Log in to your SendGrid account.- https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/api_keys
- Click on the Settings section in the left sidebar, navigate to the API Keys page, and click the Create API Key button.
- Assign a name to your API key based on your requirements. Next, set the necessary permissions as needed, then click the Create & View button to generate your API key.
- The API key is ready. Copy and paste the API Key into the SureMail SendGrid connection settings.
3. From Email
- The “From Email” should be the email you verified with SendGrid.
- The From Email specified in the SendGrid connection will take precedence when the Force From Email option is enabled.
- If not enabled, other plugins or settings may override the From Email.
4. From Name
Specify the From Name that should be used for all outgoing emails.
- This is the name that recipients will see in their inbox when receiving emails from your site.
- You can use a combination of your name and company name as from name.
5. Connection Sequence for From Email
- Default Value: 10
- Determines the Sequence of this connection.
- Lower numbers indicate higher priority. If multiple connections are available for a given From Email, then the connection with the lowest sequence number will be used first.
By configuring the SendGrid connection properly, you ensure reliable email delivery from your WordPress site with the correct sender details.
