Configure the Postmark Email Connection Fields
1. Connection Title
- Enter a unique title for this connection.
2. Server Token
To connect your Postmark Email account, you need to enter a Server Token.
- Where to find the Server Token?
- Log in to your Postmark account.
- Click on Create server button
- Name your Server and click on Create server button
- Click on the API Tokens tab and Copy the Server API tokens.
- Paste the Server Token into the SureMail Postmark connection settings.
3. Message Stream ID
The default setting is outbound.
What are Message Streams?
Message Streams is how we separate different types of mail to ensure the highest deliverability for each. Pick the one that’s right for your email:
- Transactional streams are for sending time-sensitive messages triggered for one recipient at a time.
- Broadcasts are for messages sent to many recipients at once, like marketing campaigns or newsletters.
- Inbound stream is a way for your application to receive email.
For comprehensive guidance, refer to Postmark’s documentation on creating and sending messages via Message Streams.
4. From Email
Specify the From Email address that should be used when sending emails from your WordPress site.
- The From Email specified in the Postmark Email connection will take precedence when the Force From Email option is enabled.
- If not enabled, other plugins or settings may override the From Email.
5. From Name
Specify the From Name that should be used for all outgoing emails.
- This is the name that recipients will see in their inbox when receiving emails from your site.
- You can use a combination of your name and company name as from name.
6. Connection Sequence for From Email
- Default Value: 10
- Determines the Sequence of this connection.
- Lower numbers indicate higher priority. If multiple connections are available for a given From Email, then the connection with the lowest sequence number will be used first.
By configuring the Postmark Email connection properly, you ensure reliable email delivery from your WordPress site with the correct sender details.
