MailerSend
The Connections Tab allows you to integrate and configure email-sending services within SureMail. This document outlines the configuration options available for the MailerSend Connection.
How to Add a MailerSend Connection?
MailerSend is an email-sending service that enables reliable email delivery from your WordPress site. To establish a connection go to the Connections tab, and follow the steps below:
- Click the Add Connection button.
- A sidebar menu will slide in from the right.
- Select MailerSend to open another sliding sidebar with the MailerSend connection fields.
Configure the MailerSend Connection Fields
1. Connection Title
- Enter a unique title for this connection.
2. API Key
To connect your MailerSend account, you need to enter an API Key. This key allows SureMail to authenticate and send emails through MailerSend securely.
- Where to find the API Key?
- Log in to your MailerSend account.
- From the left-hand menu panel, click on Integrations. This will open the Integrations page.
- Under API tokens, click the Manage button.
- Click the Create new token button.
- Fill in the details:
- Name: Enter a name for the token.
- Domain: Select the domain.
- Expiration date: Set an expiration date.
- Permissions: Set the permission to Sending access.
- Name: Enter a name for the token.
- Click the Generate token button.
- Copy the generated API key and paste it into the SureMail configuration settings.
Steps to Verify a Domain and Send Emails
- Open the Domains Page – From the dashboard, click on “Domains” in the left menu. This will open the Domains page.
- Add a New Domain –Click on the “Add Domain” button. A popup will appear.
- Enter Your Domain Name In the popup, enter your domain name and then click the “Add Domain” button.
- Verify the Domain – After adding the domain, verification is required. You can verify the domain either automatically or manually.
- Automatic Verification: Click on the “Start Verification” button to begin automatic domain verification.
- Manual Verification: Set up the required DNS records in your domain registrar. Once done, click the “Finish Verification” button.
3. From Email
Specify the From Email address that should be used when sending emails from your WordPress site.
- The From Email specified in the MailerSend connection will take precedence when the Force From Email option is enabled.
- If not enabled, other plugins or settings may override the From Email.
4. From Name
Specify the From Name that should be used for all outgoing emails.
- This is the name that recipients will see in their inbox when receiving emails from your site.
- You can use a combination of your name and company name as from name.
5. Connection Sequence for From Email
- Default Value: 10
- Determines the Sequence of this connection.
- Lower numbers indicate higher priority. If multiple connections are available for a given From Email, then the connection with the lowest sequence number will be used first.
By configuring the MailerSend connection properly, you ensure reliable email delivery from your WordPress site with the correct sender details.
