Emailit Connection Setup Guide

The Connections Tab in SureMail helps you add and manage email-sending services. This guide will walk you through setting up the Emailit Connection.

Adding an Emailit Connection

Emailit is a trusted service for sending emails from your WordPress site. To connect Emailit to SureMail, follow these steps:

1. Open the Connections Tab

1. Go to the Connections tab in SureMail.
2. Click the Add Connection button.
3. A sidebar will appear on the right. Select Emailit to open the Emailit connection options.

2. Fill in the Emailit Connection Fields

Connection Title

• Enter a unique name for this connection so you can identify it later.

API Key

• You need an API Key to link your Emailit account to SureMail.

To get your API Key:

• Log in to your Emailit account.
• Verify your Sending Domains:
  • Click Sending Domains on the left menu.

• Click Add Sending Domain and enter your domain name.

• Click Create.

• Update your DNS records with SPF, DKIM, and Return Path as instructed by Emailit.

• Click Check DNS to confirm your domain is authenticated.

• After your domain is verified, go to Credentials in the left menu.

• Click Add Credential. Enter a name, select API as the type, and click Create.

• Copy the API key that is generated and click Done.

• Paste the API key into the SureMail Emailit connection settings.

From Email

• Enter the email address you want to use for sending emails. This must match your verified domain.

From Name

• Enter the name you want recipients to see as the sender. This can be your personal name, company name, or both.

Connection Sequence for From Email

• Default Value: 10
• This sets the priority for this connection. Lower numbers mean higher priority. If you have more than one connection for the same From Email, the connection with the lowest sequence number will be used first.

3. Important Limitation: No BCC or CC Support

Note: The Emailit Connection does not support sending emails with BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) or CC (Carbon Copy) recipients. If your workflow requires BCC or CC, you will need to use a different email-sending connection that supports these features.

By setting up the Emailit connection correctly, you’ll ensure your WordPress site sends emails reliably and displays the right sender information.
